OUR GRATITUDE is extended to the family members of the late Carl and Monica Bartosh for their most generous gift to refinish our Eucharistic vessels and for the purchase of a new engraved paten.
VESSELS: It was really a special day for our family in the blessing of the chalice, ciborium and the paten on Sunday, April 23rd. Father Arens really made it extra special when he told all the parishioners the history of the replating of these vessels and why we wanted to keep the tradition going in our family. It meant so much to the family that we could continue something that our Mom and Dad started so many years ago. ~Family of Carl & Monica Bartosh

THERE IS A QUOTE in Les Miserables that states, “To love another person is to see the face of God.” We are humbled to see the face of God in those we serve at Catholic Charities. Pope Francis reminds us that we must be “living signs of hope.” When you support Catholic Charities efforts to provide help and hope for the poor and marginalized in southern Minnesota, you are a living sign of hope for all. Together on May 13th and 14th we can be a sign of hope in this world by supporting the Catholic Charities Annual Appeal. Your compassionate generosity is a life-changing blessing!

FOR MOTHER’S DAY, honor your mother, daughter, sister, aunt, godmother or any woman who has played an important role in your life by making a contribution in their honor to the National Council of Catholic Women. Those we honor will be remembered in Masses celebrated on Mother's Day weekend at the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception in Washington, D.C.
NCCW has maintained a very strong connection to the shrine over the years highlighted by our donation of Mary's Garden on the grounds of the Shrine. Mary's Garden is a beautiful sanctuary for visitors and students of Catholic University to gather in prayer before a fountain and beautiful statue of our beloved Mother, Mary. Donations we receive will be split between NCCW and the Basilica for their continued care of Mary's Garden.
A minimum donation of $20 per name is requested. Please send your form listing the name of the woman (or women) you would like remembered directly to the NCCW office using the form inserted in next weekend’s bulletin. If you wish to let those you are honoring know of your special remembrance, please send their name(s) and address(es) along with your donation and a prayer card with a picture of Mary's statue in the garden will be sent to them with a note that a donation has been made in their honor by you (or you may request your gift be given anonymously).
Thank you for your continuing support and have a blessed Easter!
